The General Hospital is the sole location of general and acute hospital services in Jersey. The hospital provides approximately 290 in-patient acute beds, a dedicated Day Surgery Unit, an Endoscopy Unit, a recently opened Emergency Admissions Unit and extensive outpatient facilities.

The Island of Jersey is situated only 14 miles from France and offers you 40km of beautiful coastline and stunning countryside. There is also the vibrant town of St Helier with its cafe culture and award-winning restaurants to enjoy.
The hospital is also recruiting for longer term positions, so why not plan an extended visit and spend some time in the sun as part of a working holiday.
Accommodation is available on-site and return travel is paid for. With flights from most major UK airports lasting roughly one hour, you could be arriving sooner than you think!

States of Jersey are also looking for a number of doctors to take up a range of permanent positions. The salaries available are excellent and it is also worth noting that the maximum tax rate for personal income in Jersey is 20%.
You will have the opportunity to work with the hospital on a one month basis initially, with the view to extend to a permanent role.
