The Isle of Wight is much closer than you would think and can be reached in just over 40 minutes when using one of the three dedicated passenger ferry services - there are 3 ferry routes operating between England and Isle of Wight offering you combined total of 64 sailings per day.

Wightlink operates 3 routes, Portsmouth to Fishbourne runs 25 times daily, Lymington to Yarmouth about 15 times daily & Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde about 24 times daily.
